Cookie policy

Cookies on AuthXpress

We keep our use of cookies minimal and functional. This page explains exactly what we store and why.

What cookies are

Cookies are small text files stored on your device by your browser. They let a website remember information between pages and visits — for example, that you are signed in.

How we use cookies

AuthXpress uses cookies strictly to operate the platform: keeping you signed in, protecting your session, remembering your selected journal and theme, and helping us detect and prevent abuse. We do not use cookies to build advertising profiles.

Categories we use

  • Essential — authentication and session cookies required to sign in and use the portal. These cannot be switched off.
  • Security — cookies that help verify requests and protect against fraudulent activity.
  • Preferences — local storage of your selected journal and light/dark theme so the interface stays consistent.

Analytics

Where enabled, we use privacy-respecting product analytics to understand how the platform is used in aggregate. These are used to improve the product, never to identify individuals for advertising.

Managing cookies

You can clear or block cookies in your browser settings. Note that blocking essential cookies will prevent you from signing in and using the manuscript portal.
